Chilton House

Named after Constance Chilton, a friend and colleague of Elisabeth Morrow, and Head of School for almost fifty years, until 1981.

Three-Year-Old Program

Two classrooms

Fourteen students per class on average

Two teachers in each classroom

One full-time assistant

Students leave the classroom for music, physical education and library. These subjects are taught by additional faculty

PreKindergarten

Two teachers in each classroom

Students leave the classroom for music, physical education and library. These subjects are taught by additional faculty. Spanish is taught in the classroom by a separate Spanish teacher.

Kindergarten

Little School

Our school was originally named The Little School. In 1948, the School was renamed in honor of its founder, Elisabeth Morrow, in 1948. From it's founding on Linden Avenue in 1930, The Little School moved to its present location on Lydecker Street, Englewood, in 1939.

Grade One to Grade Four

Morrow House

Originally home to the Morrow family, the estate was purchased, then donated to the school in 1956 and named in honor of Elizabeth Cutter Morrow (mother to Elisabeth Morrow) for her years of dedication and stewardship as President of the Board.

Grade Five to Grade Eight

The students in grades five through eight are in learning groups that average eighteen per class. The program is departmentalized and therefore, students have several teachers throughout the week for various subjects.
