Before & After School

EMS Adventures
Students in first through sixth grade may participate in this special after school program. Hour-long enrichment classes are offered in the fall and spring. Brochures are sent home in September and January in the Wednesday envelope. This fall Adventure classes began the week of October 3, with Intramurals starting October 23.

Early Birds
The Early Bird program offers supervised activities to PreK and Kindergarten students in Chilton House and first through 4th grade students in Little School from 7:30-8:20 a. m. on all days that the School is in session. Parents must pre-register their child for this program. There is no fee.

EMS Friends
Students in PreK through eighth grade may participate in the Childcare Program, which offers safe, quality, after-school care in a mixed-age, family environment. Students play outdoors, enjoy nutritional snacks and have ample time for homework and creative activities. Childcare is offered each day from 3:00-6:00 p. m. during the school year. Pre-registration is required, along with a registration fee for the year.

Childcare is available on Conference and Faculty Study days from 8:30-5:00 p. m. Pre-registration is required in advance. The School has the right to cancel special Childcare days one week in advance, if there is not a minimum of eight students registered. Only students pre-registered are welcome are Conference days and there are no drop-ins.
