The Office of Enrollment Management is accepting applications for some grades for the 2019-2020 academic year.

If you are an applicant who is reapplying from a previous year, please contact our offices via phone or email and speak with our staff before filling out an application. Your fee will be waived.

Middle School Applicants generally take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) and have those scores submitted in order to complete an application to The Elisabeth Morrow School. Other forms of standardized testing may be accepted as well, please inquire.

Young children may enter EMS with limited English Skills. In the fourth grade and above, we expect students to have the academic language to comprehend text, math problems, and understand the academic language associated with social studies (history) and science.

Candidates must be of qualifying age on or before October 1.


Step 1: Come Visit Us!

We encourage parents to tour the campus and see our nature-filled 14 acre wooded campus.

Step 2: Apply

We are currently accepting applications for select grades for 2019-2020 school year.

If you are an applicant who is reapplying from a previous year, your fee will be waived.

You will be contacted by your special Admissions Team guide who will personally assist you through every phase of your admissions process.

Debbie Abitante is the guide for the threes through first grade and Kelvin Ward is the guide for second through eighth grades. Nyafa McCloggan is your guide for making appointments and building your file. Kathleen Visconti, Director of Enrollment Management, will meet with all of you when you arrive to tour, and can answer all Financial Aid questions.

Step 3: Candidate Playgroup/Visit and Parent Interview

After the application has been submitted, the admissions office will contact you to arrange a classroom/playgroup visit. Parent interviews are optional and we are always happy to arrange a conversation with our division heads, faculty members or other families. Just let us know how we can help you!

Step 4: Admissions Committee Review of Candidate's File

A full listing of our required admissions appointment dates and our notification deadlines will be available in the fall.

Any applications completed after set dates will be reviewed on a rolling basis.

Important Dates and Deadlines

We are now accepting applications for the 2019-2020  school year.

Optional tuition assistance applications (TADS) were due January 10, 2019.

We accept applications on a rolling basis or for mid-year enrollment, as space allows. Please call Admissions to inquire about space availability in select grades (several grades will be at capacity).
